Is it like your brain just won't shut down? I suffer insomnia, but I can't take medicine for it. So I just have to get up and find useful things to do until I am ready to sleep again. It can be a pain. Some suggestions are, wake up early, don't take naps, try to do excersises in the morning hours not evening, and maybe do a bit of yoga before bed. You can search the net to find some Yoga posistions. Also don't watch TV to go to sleep, it can get your brain going and you won't fall to sleep for hours. Hope this helps!

I can't take meds for sleeping because they have such a bad effect on me. I can't wake up for days. Plus my heart freaks out, i have palputations. These feels like my heart messes beats. Meds makes them worse. Maybe at bed time you are too active to fall asleep. Maybe you could try listenig to the radio an hour before bed time to calm your mind.

I might have a couple tips for you, but it will only be partially helpful without full information. A couple of things... make sure you are not eating or drinking before you head to bed. Give yourself at least a few hours before that to digest, and give your body time to prepare for sleep. Also, make sure that your caffeine intake for the day is limited, and that you don't have any within 5 or so hours of heading to bed. Some people have their last coffee/pop at lunch, and are then fine when they go to sleep at night. If you have to have one with dinner, keep the total amount limited, and you should be all right. Hopefully these are some tips that could help you out.
