Do you think same accident can happen twice?

I want to talk about animals here, not people. My pet rabbit died by falling down the stairs last week. We are now thinking to get another pet. I'd love a guinea pig as it has no hair on its feet so it can get easier around the house /wont slip like bunny did/. Also it cannot fall down the stairs as it cannot get up the stairs. But my hubby prefers rabbits as the piggis are too much like their cousins rats /I dont know where he got that from ??? - they so much lovelier!?/ Anyway. So do you think if I agreed and we got a rabbit the same thing could happen over again?

Yes it could happen again unless you put a child gate across the stairs to keep the rabbit from getting up them. We had a guinea pig. So much better then a rat. Much bigger, no tail and they respond to you. Not so a rabbit. A guinea pig will start to whistle when you scratch it in a spot that they like or when they hear you coming especially if you are bringing it food. They are calm and don't have a tendancy bite or nip at you as some other rodent type pets do.

Yes n No. Why don't you get a dog or a cat? as they can juggle with the stairs pretty well? and I think rabbits can too, they are crazy hoppers aint they?
