I have tried a few that I have found on-line but they don't taste as good as the gazpacho I have had in restaurants. I order it everytime I see it on the menu I love it! I just can't seem to make it right and I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I chop about 6 firm ripe tomatoes, 1 green pepper, 1 large onion, 2 celeries thinly sliced celery, 1 peeled medium cucumber seeded and chopped, or 1 peeled english cucumber chopped. Combine and salt, pepper, oregano, basil to taste. Chill well to serve. A nice little or big dollop of sour cream is a good garnish, maybe a dash of tabasco. To me, cooking is totally an adventure. Play with this recipe or an online one unti you get the right taste. Many things can change the taste between the restaurant and your house. The type of vegetables, the amount of seasoning and what you are eating or drinking on the side can change everything.

OOPS. I forgot a couple crushed and minced garlic cloves. And serve with big toasted garlic croutons or garlic bread.
