Is there a special New Years Eve tradition where you live? I dont know of any here but I usually stay home with my kids and watch movies and eat pizza. I know there are different traditions for different cultures and I am interested to hear them.

We don't do anything special for the New Years but I remember growing up that mom and grandma always made soup beans to eat that day. It was suppose to bring good luck for the year. I usually stay home, watch all the celebrations on tv.

I remember doing that as a kid also. We always watched the new year coming in on the tv.

Yes, and the next day we always watched the parade on tv. We didn't watch the ballgame though.

Youngsters normally will hang out in clubs or somewhere people gather around for a countdown. There are some countdown concerts held too. It sounds fun huh? But I've never been to a countdown, instead I just stay at home and watch Tv and hear fireworks playing when the clock strikes 12am on 1st January.

Hope it is the best ever - wish you health and happiness
When I was in Cali we would get together with friends and everyone bring finger foods and we would play games and things down at the church or we would get together with other friends and watch movies. Here in SC last year we were at the fire station and lit off fire works. Don't know what we will do this year

Basically do the same thing, but we go outside at 12:00 and hit pots and pans together and fireworks it can get pretty loud.
