Snow is Sterile?

In my country (Indonesia), most of us (villagers) can drink water directy from the well without being boiled first. We have a such kind of immunity from un sterile water coming from the well. My kids get used to drink it too. Here, i think snow is sterile. What if my kids put snow in a bowl then they put syrup and try to drink it? you think it's dangerous for their health? cos snow comes from the sky and it's sterile, i think it's a bit permissible for kids to play and drink it a little.
