why people want small states.

The division of powers between state and centre helps in good governing. But is it possible to have good government with large no. of small states. In this context I'm mostly concerned with division of AndhraPradesh,INDIA into Telangana and rest of state. When compared with other states which have recently divded like those of Jharkhand from Bihar etc. Jharkhand has considerably good development because of its industrial background which were not organised properly before. But in AndhraPradesh I don't think this is the problem with Telangana region. I strongly feel it a political drama. I also think that being united is the only way for full fletched development in all aspects. At present what AP needs is a dedicated government which strives for the development of all sections of people. And I hope that the present government understands the needs of the people.

It is too unwieldy to run bigger states from the administrative point of view and also there is already a mind set for people from some areas not to join the mainstream. This is resulting in further fragmenting the states and it may do good for the state to adminster the remaining areas properly.
