What are your plans to celebrate the New Year?

I have been single since 1998. I don't go out and party or go to clubs and bars. I want this to be a good year and I want to share the start of it with friends. I have a guy in mind that I met recently and I would like to ask him to share the occasion with me. I was raised to never ask a guy out but I think times have changed and I want to know what others think about this. Should I ask him and how should I go about it?

Me being a man. I find it very attractive to be asked out. May be because I feel that woman/girl is actually into me and is taking the time to NOT give a dam about what are the "customs" and rather following her heart or "whatever" lol. I think you should, most of us men find it intriguing so go for it and wish you a happy newyear and good luck :) cheers

I really appreciate a man's point of view. I have been going back and forth on this one and I think I need just jump in with both feet and hope I land safely.
