Is America ready for for a Black/Woman President?

I am impressed by the fevor around Barack Obama, and the building support for Hillary Clinton. Could all the hype actually translate into a nomination for either of theses fine citizens? America's race relations are the stuff of legend and lore. Are we fooling ourselves. Are we truly ready to hear ourselves utter the phrase "First Man"?
