English alpahabets or languge discoverer?

As we all know english language is used everywhere, as long as we know english we can go anywhere we want. The english language that well all know now is like borrowed from greek,latin, spanish and etc. If the alphabets is from greek, who discovered it? Do you know is the person who fixed the language? Or who inveted/discovered the english alphabets?
