Would you marry for looks or the person?

I am married 3yrs now. I think that my hubby and i complement each other very well in terms of looks and our personalities. He is hard core, straight to the point and extroverted and i am the soft, passive one who on occassion can make herself extremely introverted. I guess when we married, we each got a nice package. Met a couple the other day where the woman openly (in front of her hubby) admitted that she definitely did not go for looks as her hubby is butt ugly! how's that? the guy sits there and takes it.....apparently she married him for his body...whatever! the point is, it is so amazing that you still find ppl where looks are everything. They would rather stay single for the rest of their lives if they didn't find there chippendale or supermodel. I won't lie, looks do count to a certain degree - but definitely not a deciding factor. Be presentable, decent, attractive in your ways and believe me i'm sure the looks will shine through.............

I agree that looks do count, but the personality is more important. If you're planning to spend the rest of your life with someone than you should be able to stand being in the same room as them!

I agree! Make sure you have a 'suitable package' so to speak. Looks are important to a certain extent but then so is intelligence, character, personality, the inner beauty of that person etc.

no i would marry for just looks. Marriage is a commitment , your spending rest of life with that person , i need to know that she has a good nature and loves me for me not my looks and vice versa, so no looks to me aren't everything ..and not priority

That's true! Marriage is a lifetime commitment. No point a marrying a 'supermodel lookalike' when she's an absolute dits or has ugly ways. One needs to look at the complete package.
