i want to be slim???

i am over weight. my height is 5 ft 5 inches. and my weight is 75 kg. some body told me that swimming is the best exercise. is swimming the best exercise to reduce weight. how can i reduce weight by some other means.

I don't think that swimming is a good way to lose your weight. Actually all professional swimmers have some fat to protect their bodies from cold water. I suggest you running as a way to lose weight, or a bicycle - those are very good to lose weight. Helped a lot to myself and my friends.

Running and cycling are considered as a cardiovascular exercise, yes it can help her lose weight but only her lower body will form muscles.

Swimming is the best exercise you can do because it puts less stress on your knees than running. With each stroke you are moving your whole body thus toning your muscles all over. Keep in mind though that you need to discipline yourself, when you get tired after swimming 1 lap, rest for 5 seconds then swim again. If you always rest, you'll consume too much time at the pool but less time in exercising your muscles. Drink a little water every 5 minutes to refrain from dehydration. You also need to eat healthier, limit your fast food, sweets, salty and soda intake, then increase your vegetables, and fruit intake.
