Indian newspapers today report that 1993 serial blasts in the city of Mumbai became possible as the policemen on duty at a check point in Raigad district took a bribe of Rs 7 lakhs (Indian money) to allow the RDX carriage enter the city. The king pin of the deal was police sub-inspector Krishnaji Patil. What punishment do you suggest for this cop? What is your recommendation for any other corrupted government officer, in any other field? Both Indians and non-Indians are expected to talk on this very serious issue.
