What is better Win 98 or Win XP

Go for WinXP. FIrst of all, it is way faster than 98, which is of utmost importance for any PC. The slight complication that you are talking about is negligible when you see the increase of processing power the XP can bring. I suggest you try XP for a week or so and if you don't like it, you can always downgrade to 98 but I am 99% sure that you are going to like XP.

WinXP is the better of the two operating systems. Another thing to consider is that a lot of the newer software now that Vista is coming out won't be made to run on a 98 machine so upgrading is more of a necessity than a luxury. But that is just my opinion. I run XP and I am not upgrading to Vista any time soon until I have to and I have no other choice.

I don't think that window xp is difficult tu use! Thereore if you want to buy a visual-easy operative sistem you can use Maccintosh. Thanks for post and welcome on mylot. Ettore
