Have you seen a big Banyan Tree?

Usually it grows big and it grows old. There is one in Bangalore which covers approx. 600 metres circumference. It is a picnic spot for Bangaloreans. If you have seen one, please mention here.

Yes I have seen Banyan tree, which is called Pepal tree in India. In calcutta in the Botanical Garden there is a very very old banyan tree, and its huge.. apart from this it ca be seen outskirts of Calcutta.. where old people chats beneath it...

Very happy to know about the banyan tree at your place. That is true, people love to take shelter under this tree. These banyan trees are the venue of villagers meetings in many villages.

In Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere in Karnataka there are very big banyan trees. One near the Bangalore looks like as if there are 20 trees. One tree's roots looks like another tree.

yes i have seen big banyan trees .. plenty of them in north indian villages .. im from UP
