Are you a meat eater? Would you cook a vegetarian meal for your friend?

I would go out of my way to make my friend feel at home.

Yes, I'm a meat eater. In fact, I love my meat, especially pork, chicken and beef, but if I had a vegetarian friend, I would go out of my way to cook a vegetarian meal for them. It would probably be a nut roast, or a broccoli quiche or something, but I would still have my meat. lol. I eat a lot of vegetables as well, so it wouldn't really be that much of a hardship, but I think I would go out of my way to make it something special for my friend, had I invited them to my home, even knowing that they possibly couln't bring themselves to handle meat and do the same for me. Tonight, I've had roast pork, roast potatoes, and no less than five other vegetables. They have to be fresh, of course. :-)

I would be happy not to eat meat (apart from bacon, which I love in sandwiches, and roast beef) my husband loves meat and says if meat is not on his plate it is not a proper meal. If I cook macaroni cheese he has bacon in his. LOL If I have vegetarian friends over I cook separate dishes for them. Thank you for your response. :) I also love fresh vegetable's, you can't beat them.

I don't eat much meat and neither do my family, I would cook whatever kind of meal my guest liked most without thinking about it. I enjoy most foods and cooking and would be just as happy to prepare meats as a vegetarian/vegan dish. I do not eat much meat as I disagree with the way the animals are treated, but I allow my children to eat is as they can make up their own minds what they want to do. If food is left on the plates, then that is OK, I would never force them to choose.

I do not really eat much meat either, I do serve meat everyday but if the children do not eat it I don't push it, although I do make them eat their vegetables. Thank you for your response. :)

It is nice to cook something different for a change. I like quite a lot of vegetarian recipes, although I am not too keen on spicy food. Thank you for your response. :) Happy new year.

I am a meat eater. I too would go out of my way to make someone feel comfortable if they didnot eat meat. A couple people in my family are vegetarians, so I know how to cook different dishes for them.
