Montel Williams did a show where a man's identity was stolen at a clinic he was going to after finding out he had a few weeks to live and would be dying from cancer. A worker there retrieved his info from the computer and got credit cards and everything else in his name. He fought the cancer and survived. He found out after applying for a loan and being denied, since he knew he always had good credit. An investigation was done and the employee was tracked down and arrested, but it took a long time for the victim to get his credit straightened. Has your identity or someone you know identity been stolen? How were you or the person affected? Did the criminal get caught? Was your credit restored? If so, what precautions made it easier?
