The New Album? any new news on it?

I havent heard much of Metallica's new album for a while and i hope it is going to be worth the wait. As anyone on here got anymore info, please respond.

Yeah I do not see early 07 as a chance but late summer maybe and hopefully a tour after which I can't wait for. I am hoping the album would drop over the summer so they will do an outdoor tour which is much better. Also Lars said since this year is the 20 year anniversary of Puppets and they were playing the whole album at shows that, that album influenced the upcoming one which is pretty cool.

that would be cool, who as got the kerrang Metallica Master of Puppets trbiute album? it came free with a issue of kerrang a bit ago this year it is pretty good and as got covers from the master of puppets album i think this was posting on metallica's site

Thanks for reminding me about it! I vaguely remember hearing about it, but haven't heard anything about it in awhile. I'll definately be keeping my eyes peeled for it!

yeah, last i heared of the album it was set to be released in spring 2007 which is looking doubtfull at the moment

Hey what's up I am a huge Metallica fan and can not wait for the new album. The latest I heard was that they have about 25 song ideas and will narrow that down to about 12 to record. Lars said it will not be as raw as St. Anger and Kirk will be laying down solos so that sounds pretty good. Also I expect it to be pretty good now that Rick Rubin is producing instead of Bob Rock hopefully it will be out late summer early fall.

thanks for the info, ST Anger was a bit of a let down but i still liked it. Hopefully this album will have alot of their styles in their album. Sounds good, any news on release date?
