it depends what books u are reading. If it s novel then it is better read in mind. but if you are studying then it is better to read slowly and a bit loudly where you can hear it. Because then you get both the visual as well as audio effect which is a good way to retain what you have read.

All students must read loudly. I too reading loudly. If we read loudly in school & college days, remembrance will be there. If we want to read story books, we must read in mind.

I used to read my Text book till I was a student as it is required to enter into my brain deeply and I could reproduce it in my exam copy.But now a days i read books silently bcoz nowadays i dont give exam and i read books for my own satisfaction.

i prefer to read in ind as it willl never disturb other and i can concentrate more when i read silently.
