I think that if a person doesn't think they would be a suitable parent than they should be free to get an abortion. It's better than bringing a child into the world who wouldn't have a good life. Also, a person should be able to do it if they were raped for obvious reasons; it's not their fault. Please note everyone that this is just my opinion and if you don't agree with me, that's fine. Just don't criticize me.

I'm pro choice. A woman has a right to decide what to do with her own body, and before a certain point, a fetus is exactly that. Part of her body. I don't believe in abortion as a form of birth control, but in order to be available to the women who need it, it has to be available to everyone. And there are cases where it's needed. Women who are physically incapable of surviving pregnancy, women who've been raped, young girls who've been raped, the products of incest, women who will pass on terminal illnesses, cases such as those. Abortion isn't a good thing. It's a sad and ugly thing, but like so many aspects of life, it's needed. Women have been having abortions since the dawn of humanity. And they'll continue to have abortions until the end of humanity. I'd rather they be getting professional abortions by trained doctors than relying on back alley or self preformed abortions.

woah!!! abortion is a big no-no for me!!! its just impossible for me to grasp how anyone can even think about taking a life that is totally dependant on you!! its like cold-blooded murder... the foetus within the pregnant woman hasnt done anything wrong to deserve it... y is it being murdered? becoz its parents screwed up?? tht is not a good enough excuse!! the parents ought to have taken the necessary actions or precautions... and once they mess up, they cant take the easy route and kill their kid!! but there are some situations where abortion is a necesary evil.. like in the case where the life of the mother is in danger if childbirth occurs... in such cases i aint against abortion

Pro life. Why is there even an option of a woman to have a choice to murder? It makes me sick that certian women (and men) reguard human life as something they can just toss aside. We are all survivers of abortion - our mothers made the choice NOT to abort. Imagine if they had....... It is murder and allowing women to murder innocent babies just because they don't want them is an outrage. I can't see any reason to allow a woman to kill. I mean, is it okay for a woman to kill a husband because he is beating her or is it okay for a woman to kill the man that just raped her? No. And she would be put in jail for it. BUT it is okay for her to kill the innocent baby that is growing inside of her. How messed up is that, that society allows that? That our government, our court system, will allow such a thing?

There have been many cases where woman have fought back, killed their attacker & been found not guilty. Even when it wasn't directly self-defense. It would not be hard to convince a jury of your peers that as your rapist got up to leave, you smashed him on the back of the head with a bottle because you were 'insane' at that moment. There was a movie in the 80s called Burning Bed (or something close to that) based on spousal abuse & the woman murdering her husband in cold blood; she was pardoned completely for her actions. But aside from all that, I just don't agree that an early pregnancy is a 'life'.
