Day to day life can be tough, and sometimes it seems you come to a point where you feel burnt out and tired as a result of the daily grind. What are some things that you do to help yourself over that "bump"? Do you have suggestions/ideas that others could look to if they are feeling worn out?

I usually go to sleep and don't set the alarm if at all possible unless I have to be at work. I find that this is a way of my body telling me I need sleep. It is amazing at how long you can sleep when you really need it!

I find that going to the gym and having a good workout either on the treadmill or with the weights works wonders for me, it gets rid of the pent up frustration and the stress, then I return and have a long soak in the bath and my batteries are fully recharged. Good music also helps and quality time to yourself to properly relax and unwind.

Those are some very good suggestions. I like to combine the loud music with the workout sometimes, in order to relieve some of my stresses

I take advantage of my vacation time and take a few days off.

I usually try to find time after the kids have gone to bed to sit down with a magazine of my choice and just read. Sometimes just getting away from all the usual stuff and fading into the magazine articles is just what I need to "snap out" of the slump.

Sometimes I find it's less about burn out and more about too much to do. So when I feel stressed or tired for no reason, I just take a break from responsibilities. Instead I play a game, call a friend, whatever! Basically, some people think they are too busy to have time for games, but really if they took 30 minutes out for games and fun, they would be more energized and able to do more work :)
