What websites do you use to publish your articles?

I enjoy writing and posting my articles on Associated Content. While I enjoy this website, I am somewhat disappointed in the turn around time and payment for each article. Can you shed some light on another publishing website that you have enjoying publishing for?

Why are you disappointed with AC? I am a member too and love them. There turn around time on both acceptance and payment is much faster than any standard publisher. I am signed up with another site, http://www.tipsandtreats.com/writePro.asp?ID=creative but I haven't published anything with them yet. I am curious to know why you aren't happy with AC though. I plan to try and publish 2-3 articles a week with them after the first of the year. http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=15512 I look forward to hearing back from you.

While I enjoy the website in general I am a little disappointed in the turn around time of the payments. More recently, I have had a large gap in the payment and review time. In all fairness, it may be the holiday traffic that is holding everything up. How long have you been a member of AC?

I believe I have been there since Sept. I am not really sure. I have only published three articles, but like I said I plan to do much more with it in the new year. I have been trying to work on a novel, and have come to a point now, where I am able to devote a little more time to other pursuits as well. How long have you been with AC? You are right, it could have been the holiday stuff, messing everything up. I wouldn't get to down on them. You can try tips and tricks. I just haven't had time to write anything for them yet either, but they are a reputable site that does pay. I know someone else that writes for them.

I've sold some articles to AC but am disappointed with the pay, usually they offer me $3 or $4 an article. I'm a professional writer and my work is always well structured with proper spelling, etc., so it's disappointing to spend time on an article and get so litte. I never do get feedback from a live human like "I could offer you more if you did this or that." They always stress having good spellilng, but a lot of articles I see there have many typos, it seems like the low pay scale encourages people to crank out pieces as quickly as possible. I'm guessing the content managers are also doing too much work too quickly, maybe that's why turnaround time is slow and they don't catch typos. But 5 days doesn't seem like a long time to me, considering a person is actually reading it.

BTW, welcome to myLot. I love it here. It is a great release when not writing. There are quite a few AC'ers on here too. If you have any questions, I'll try to help.

I use AC, Digg and helium. They are all great sites to post your articles and get paid for it.

AC has been behind a bit when it comes to reviewing and paying for articles. The holidays, followed by some blizzards that struck Denver..where they are located..has made content managers get behind. They are starting to catch up now, with payment usually happening about 24 hours- 48 hours after the article has been reivewed.

I haven't written for them for a couple of months, but I think they pay on Mon, Wed, Fri. So an article will be paid on the next of these days after approval.

That is true..they usually pay on Mon.Wed.Fri. however as I said, it's taking awhile for them to catch up with everything that has been going on.

A couple other sites to check are www.rentacoder.com and www.constant-content.com They are a bit different than AC You write what they ask for, not what you want and you have to win the bid (rentacoder) or wait for them to sell you article (CC). The pay is MUCH better, but the lag time is worse and with CC there's no guarantee they'll sell your stuff.

I use Associated Content a lot also and I love it. I'm sorry to say that I haven't found another site that pays as much as Associated Content, but I can tell you what to stay away from and that is Epinions.com. I have been a member there for a few years and in those few years I have made a total of $45 on 160 pieces that I wrote. On Associated Content I have made $87 on 13.
