raising a blind child....

December 28, 2006 8:14pm CST
this discussion is for parents of blind children and members of the family also for those who wants to understand more blind kids... raising a blind child is not a burden base on my experience wthe only basic thing is for parents to first ACCEPT the childs situation and things will be alright... for this children are living angels in our lives

I am legally blind. My vision has never changed, and it never will. I can see well enough to read if I hold the book close, and I can see my computer if I enlarge the font 3 times using Firefox, but have a problem with distance. I do fine, it's everyone else that has the problem. Let the visually challenged, and those with other challenges set the pace, and let you know what they can do and how they do it. Don't try and tell them what they ca do, follow their lead.
