'The Descent' is VERY bad!

Don't listen to the commercials, this movie is one ofthe worst horror films EVER. The blood scenes are so fake, I started laughing when someone died. The suspense is so drawn out you get bored, then you stop caring after about five minutes if 'pop-out' scenes that end with 'oh! it's just a random person/shadow.' When it finally gets to the cave monsters, you're not surprised when everybody starts dying off. None of the characters are likable or smart, so you really don't care when they die either. Cave monsters are obviously people with bad make-up.
In short, it sucks.

I agree. I just watched The Descent last night and what disappointment. They could have left out the golum like creatures and just centered the plot around the adventures of being lost in an unexplore cavern and it may have been a good...not great, suspense film. But as a horror flick...sorry, 2 thumbs down.

I agree. Although, it would've made a difference I think if the characters were more...interesting, I guess. Not so angsty.

I didn't see this movie. I know I wanteed to see it becaue I really like watching horror movies. I'll have to check it out to see if it id really as bad as you say it is.
