I have seen this movie when I have passed 10th and it was my tender age around 16 years old. This is the movie which i can recall every time and moment. The dialogue written by Saleem Javed is so powerful that till date i have not forgotten. The role of Gabbar singh played by lat Amzad Khan is outstanding. Jai and Veeru character is too hillarious. Basanti is not only beautiful but also plays her role efficiently and she proves herself as an best actress in cinema. Jaya Bachan's emotional role is too impressive. The role of Thankur played by late sanjeev kumar is impresive. the jailer role and surma bhopali played by Asrani and jagdeep is too good. This is the only movie to whom no indian can forget. The role of Veeru played by Dharmender is outstanding. The movies displays love, affection, sacrifies, hatredness and fear too. still this is mega show.

Sholay -the film of the millanium.But i wonder what factor of the film strike on the people..The story,stars or the different mode of the film style..I also wonder why this formulae never won again..Why other films in the same category fails to get much response..The sholay runs 5 consecutive year in a theater.All this are amazing and unbelievable news for me...
Sholay is the best when consider the popularity...

This is definitely a classic Hindi film which most Indians who are alive would have heard of. A brilliant film which set the standards for many future Indian films after it. Yeh Dosti was a truly brilliant song and it's played at many Indian functions here in the UK and everyone dances along to it. Who hasn't heard of Gabbar Singh? Well they're doing a remake of the film, some things like Sholay should not be copied, I don't know how it's going to turn out but can you honestly picture anyone else being the famous Gabbar Singh? Kids have been scared by their parents into going to sleep over decades by the lines "Gabbar Singh will come to get you if you don't go to sleep now!" LOL!
