You know, I use a solar power for my home electricity.I have some solar panels and 12V inverter,my batteries are also connected in paralel. My inverter has a low capacity,it is 1500W,so I would like to replace it with 24V 4000W inverter,is there anyone who could help me do this?. Thanks allot.

it seems the options are: 1. to find out if the 24V 4000W inverter may be replaced with a 12V 4000W inverter. (Note1: if so, the existing batteries must be able to supply more than about 350Amperes) (at 24V, batteries will only need to supply about 175A to the inverter reducing capacity (sizes) of connecting wires/bus_bars between the battery bank and the inverter.) 2. or to find out if the 24V inverter also has a 12-volt input? (Note 1 also applies) 3. or to buy a second set of panels with new battery-bank connected in series with existing (batteries) to produce the needed 24V for the 24V 4000W inverter on-hand. just a thought :) cheers

I don't know the answer but will follow this thread with interest, we are hoping someday to have solar panels and I'm trying to learn about the best sorts of installations
