Electric cars aren't a new idea!

Apparently the Toyota Prius and earlier versions were not the first electric car. The electric car goes back almost to the beginning of the automobile industry. Funny how what is old is new again. I have to wonder what would have happened had we continued to explore the electric car. Here is a photo of the original electric car!

Many means of propulsion have been tried for cars ever since they exist. From solar energy to... jet engine! However petrol remains currently the most efficient way to move a car. ;)

There is even a water based car that would be great to use. However, the risk to thrid world countries out weighs the benefits. The amount of oil it would take to make the asphalt to build roads and an infrastructure would totally devestate those countries.

Woow thank you for the information. I thought sometimes who invented the electric car and if it a new and modern invention. It appears that it is not so modern as i thought. Electric car would be a great achievement only if people would know how to use it. Good luck!
