Poems cover all aspects of life and it can come from a person who has been deeply committed in life for love of nature, love of people, love of animals and love of everything on earth including God. I do not write poems but I like to read, understand and appreciate the poet's views. Suggestion: From today, I decided to give 1 response every day to 1 of your discussions, so that we can be in touch with each other. May I expect your 1 response for my 1 of my discussions?

I think the peom I first tried to write was about God. I use to write them and tear them up so no one would see them. Sometimes I still do that. I write poetry just for myself.

Yes, I write poetry. I write for my own pleasure mostly. With poetry you can wear your heart on your sleeve and let your true feelings out. Some of my poetry has been done as lyrics for songs for local bands. Some of it has been done on request from other people for me to write about an event in their life that they want memorialized. I have fun with it. You can be serious, or not, depending on your mood and what you want to convey. It's a mental release of sorts.

Yes, I write poems. I write them for my own pleasure but mostly to have an outlet of my feelings. I usually write poems when I am sad and very lonely. I pour down all my anguish in the poem. I put into writing the pain that I feel, and all my longings. It helps a lot for me to come to terms with myself and the world around me. It reduces the stress that I feel.
