Who Made God?

My daughter asked a question that I was not sure how to answer. The question was, "Mommy, who made God?" I told her, he made himself. However, I had absolutely no idea of how to explain that. How would you answer this question?

God is the force that governs the universe. He is present before the begining of time. U cannot understand god because u are trying to evaulate god using the brains that he has created.

there was no beginning and there will be no end. that's the problem.

God was never created. He just exists. If you daughter continues to ask questions, you might look into taking her to talk with a pastor who can explain things for her. A children's pastor would probably be best since they "specialize" talking at a child's level about such detailed topics.

I agree with this. that would be great for a child. My mom brought me up in church and I am so thankful. it's alot of great memories for me. sunday school was fun and sometimes you go on trips with them. I think its a great idea.

I agree and she is very involved in the youth group at the church and has been for some time. I honestly have to say, this question has me thinking. Everything has a beginning and an end. I just can't seem to find the beginning.

GOD- Genrator Observer Destructor. God is a believe, its faith, its prayer, its about believing in yourself..GOD is a energy. GOD helps you when you help yourself.God believes in you when you believe in yourself... God is within you. Well, it sounds very philosophical. Now my point here is GOd is not some where n no one is the creator.GOD is our faith in ourself. When ever your daughter ask you Again who is the creator of god, tell her to keep faith in herself. And Pray as its the only way to to knw the answer.

Jesus ever said that I was Alpha and Omega. Yes, your reply may be true. He made Himself. He is a "thing" that we can't be understood according to our definition and brain made by Him. For instance, how can we explain this to someone who are deaf or blind from the birth to know the differences between voices and colours? He is "bigger" than us. We may not comprehend what He made Himself. He is the beginning and the end.

I think sometimes, the best answer is to simply tell a child that you don't know the answer to a question instead of guessing. They need to see that even parents don't know everything

I would say that no one on earth knows that. And that when we cross over (depending on how old the child is) we may find out then. WOW that question is a real stumpper!

Man created a hypothetical God as there were many things that he couldn't explain. Ironically man then claimed that God created Man. Many of the things man couldn't answer have been answered since then and now many people have begun asking questions on the existence of God. As science progresses more and we get more answers to previously unanswered questions, God's existence will be questioned more and more.
