My best friend has cerabal palsy and is in a wheelchair. Hes the greatest guy youd ever want to meet and is good to all people. Hes a big advocate for disibilitys and goes to all those meetings and stuff for people with disabilitys to be treated equal. Which I think is great. He talks with a pathfinder and has a pointer he wears. People seem to stare at him, alot wherever we go, which just shows they are either ignorant or just curious I think sometimes. But why does society treat people like this so diffrent? I see him as a person, a loving, kind, caring, person and very very intelligent. But lots of times if we go somewhere everyone think hes mentally retarted and cant make dissions for himself...hes far far from mentally, retarded. He just cant talk or walk. But anyhow, he loves me and I dont know what to do...some people have said that it is gross if I had a relationship with him...but hes the one i can always count on..hes always there for me, no matter what. any suggestions or anyone had an experience like this?

hey do what ur heart tells u. dont listen to others. at the same time dont pity ur friend and oblige him out of sympathy as it will be an insult to him and also not fair in the long run. ask urself what he means to u and take a decision.
