there is actualy 1 "(" missing - if the sum looked like this
8((10-1/2-2-1/2)-.6-(.3))
answer would be 48.8
u would first work out the 10- and then subtract .9 and then x that answer with 8
the brackets around .3 is unneccesary

ok take it step by step
8 times (10-.5-2-.5)-.6-(.3)
do this first
= 8 x (7) - .6 - (.3)
= 56 - .6 - (.3)
= 56 - .9 {-.6-.3=.9)
= 55.1

You should use BODMAS rule to solve it.
ie brackets ,of,division,multiplication add,subtraction.
If you have both mul and divide,then you should do it from left to right.Whichever comes first that should be evaluated.
