I get massages pretty much every week. I usually request a woman to perform the massage. A buddy of mine was telling me I should request a male because they have stronger hands and will give a better massage. I don't know how comfortable I would be with a man rubbing on me, but if they truly give better massages I might try it. Does anyone know if there is any truth to what my friend said?

That is no always true i just graduated from massage school and some of the girls in my class could give just the same amount of pressue as the guys so it really depends on the person. You should never feel uncomfortable on the massage table unless the therapist is doing some inappropriate. I have had people tell me that i give very good pressure i can hang with the guys lol have a great afternoon :)

I think that your friend is absolutely right that a man does in fact have stronger hands and will most likely perform a much better massage! Do not think of it as another man rubbing on you think of it as a massage that you are paying for and that the fact that you are paying for this makes it professional! You as a paying customer and him as the person working for you is all! I think that you should give it a try you will most likely get a much better massage from a male!!!

It depends a lot on what you want out of the massage. I really prefer to have more of an energy massage than a muscle massage so I don't want someone who actaully puts more pressure. Plus a true massage doesn't come from the hands alone. In fact a proper massage should use the entire body. the pressure should come from the whole body and not the hands. First and foremost you should be comfortable when getting a massage, otherwise you are just waisting yout time and money. to me the gender of the therapist doesn't matter becuase I trust that they are a professional. It is their job. Ultimately the choice is up to you.
