Vacation Time

With the start of the new year comes new holidays.When you take your holidays around summer,are you going to do something special?We are planning to travel a few of the provinces here.

We're going to go on our first proper holiday since moving to ireland 8 years ago! We'll go to Algeria to visit my hubby's family and 'show off' our baby daughter, then take a trip to see my family in South Africa later this year.

Yes very special - it will be the first time in 8 years that my hubby has seen any of his family. And of course the first time I've seen them at all! Have to admit I'm rather nervous about meeting the inlaws - I cannot even speak their language! (berber)

it does not HAVE to be a summer vacation.Some people like to get away in the winter as it is less crowded.
Whichever happens,I hope you have a great New Year.

I try to go on vacation or a long weekend (that I consider a vacation) at least once a month

We are starting that now.We will be going away together once a month(whether it be for a few days or even a movie) and then do one big trip.
