PHP with MYSQL

How did you install PHP? Did you do a manual configuration? I would recommend you to install XAMPP from http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html. It contains apache server, PHP, perl, MySql all in one package. All you need to do is just install it. You don't need to do any configuration and everything would work out of the box. Just install XAMPP, it is easy. Just follow the instructions given then it's ready to use. What kind of function do you want to see as an example? Maybe I can help. XAMPP also gives documentations for PHP, MySQL, etc and maybe some tutorials. I suggest you to borrow/ buy a book or search for online tutorial. I started with trying some examples from a book. Some explanation are usually given so it really helps to understand the concept.
