In the movie, "Liar, Liar" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119528/), Jim Carrey plays a lawyer who has built his whole career on lying... about everything. His son makes a birthday wish that, for just one day, his father cannot tell a lie. The outcome is hilarious as Jim Carrey's character struggles to be honest in every single circumstance.
Most of us have been raised not to lie. We teach our kids not to lie. Yet, people lie every single day, in spite of it all. What is the biggest lie you've ever told? What is the worst thing to happen to you because of a lie? Have you ever gotten caught lying to your significant other (spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend)? Have you lied about something and REALLY wish you hadn't? Get it off your chest here -- we won't tell! ;)

I love that movie!! I think that movie was so true to all of us because we all lie about "your hair looks nice" or "your baby is cute" even though there are times we think the exact opposite!
I can't recall any bad lies from me, but we have gotten in trouble as a family on a few occasions. For example, my family didn't want to announce to part of our family when my sister got engaged because we just weren't ready for that part of the family to know yet. We figured they'd find out when they got the invites. Low and behold, my sister booked a vendor that these family members knew and were VERY involved with, to the point that they probably knew we booked it! A week after we thought of that, we told them right away and they never said they already knew, but we still think they did know.

You are right we all lie every day. We tell ourselves how superior we are. we hate to admit we are wrong. We lie to keep from hurting some one's feelings. We tell little whit lies to keep out of trouble. we lie to cover our butts. If We don't feel like going to church one day we say we are ot feeling well. The list could go on and on.
