I am really sad that the Harry Potter series will be ending soon. I read an article that said that J.K. Rowling has named that last book "Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows". I really like the stories and really don't want to see them end. I realize they are a lot of work to write but I would like to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione get married, I'd like to see what happens to them later in their lives, etc. I just don't want them to end!!!!

I'm really sad about this too. I'd also like to know what happens when they grow up and marry. It's just what you wish for sometimes in a series like that. :)

I so agree with you. I don't know if I can quit Harry Potter cold turkey,,,,,,,,,I may have to find a support group.HAHA I need to know what happens later on in their lives as well. Maybe JK will take a short break and at least write one more book after this one.

I agree. I don't want Harry Potter to end. They really are characters we've all learned to love. It's going to be such a shame. What would be really nice would be if she were to write a book about the reunion of the three later on to battle someone such as Malfoy, who is trying to bring back the old ways of his family, take over the wizarding and muggle world and then make them do his... um... laundry? Oh yes, make us do his laundry. That's it.

Hahahaha. You're right though. That would be very cool to bring the characters back in a few years. I especially like the idea of Malfoy being the antagonist in a later book, not that he isn't an antagonist now, hahaha, but I see where you are going with that. Great idea!

Ya i so sad about the series ending and the movies too. It's not fare. J K Rowling said she could easily write more but she said she was just going to wait about 10 years or just suprise us with 8th 9th and 10th harry potters but she promised dan radcliffe that she wouldnt. she is not giving a straight forward answer . she needs to so we can all know what is really going to happen. Is she continuing o write the 8th 9th and 10Th? Or Is she waiting Ten yearsto go by? We need to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE J K ROWLING TELL US! comment if u think this is true

i enjoy them very much, but i think the harry potter series has lost its hype. it used to be the biggest thing among children, but it may be losing its popularity to other things. i dont see posters and harry potter fanatics, and comericals and such anymore. and each book that comes out is a bit less popular. that may be different for the 7th one, because it is after all the final leg of harry's journy in hogwarts. but i do hope that JKR pulls a fast one on us, and gives us an ending suggesting (or even announcing) an 8th book. not sure what this book may be about, seeing as harry will not be in school. but who knows. anything can happen, as far as JKs imagination can go. and we all know it goes a long way haha.

You're absolutely right. Her imagination is fantastic! I hope you are right and she does pull a fast one by doing an 8th book. There is really a lot that could happen, for example, maybe some of the characters get married, maybe Harry actually becomes an Auror, maybe Hermione becomes a professor at Hogwarts, etc. And there is also the Malfoy angles for the antagonists. I just love getting lost in the stories and would love to read more.

No, I haven't paid much attention to it at all. The only thing I know about is from seeing the first movie, which I went to with my niece and nephew when visiting them (they've read all the books). Maybe I'll try reading the first book, but I'm more into nonfiction than fiction, and even when I was a kid I wasn't all that into the fantasy or witches and wizards type genres.

I understand where you are coming from. For years I read mostly text books on archaeology. Eventually, I became very interested in historical fiction but over the years I have found a few books of fiction that I really enjoy. I hope you decide to read at least one Harry Potter book. The world that J.K. Rowling has created is really quite astounding. She thought of everything. I think that is one reason I like her books so much.

In my observation, Harry Potter has evolved differently from a kid fantasy story to a morbid type. There are plenty of killings in the succeeding stories. Also, the story ofHarry Potter revolves around Hogwarts. I presume that the last book of Harry Potter ends on his graduation to Hogwarts.

I'm sad too. It's like the most exciting book to be waited for the entire year. It would be super if J.K. Rowling stopped writing and like say couple years later she wrote an adult life of Harry Potter. I could only wish... I can't wait for the latest book, I wonder who will die this time, I hope not Harry or Ron or Hermione :(

I agree, I don't want them to die either. Actually, I don't want any of the characters to die in the last book, well, except Voldemort because he is very evil. I have grown to really enjoy all of the characters and the relationships they all have.

I'll be sad, but like some others have said, if she continues the series it may get old. So, maybe it's best to end while it's still on top. I don't know when the last book will be out but I heard the new movie will be out 13 July, 2007. I saw a poster today when I went to the movies.

I am very sad. I'm afraid she plans to kill off Harry. These are the only books I read. I love the movies too. It will be sad to read the last book.

I'm am also sad that Harry's story is coming to an end. But you have to remember she may tell us what happens to them at the end of the book. We just won't get to experiance it with them as they did/do it. I think from the start she had a story to tell and now she's told it. I understand why she wants to. You can over do it with storys and media and it gets bad and watered down. This way it stays true to what it's suppose to be and goes out on top. It will be very sad when I shut that last book. I'm sure I'll be blubbering like a baby!

Well it's exciting to know that the last book will be out in the market very soon, but it's also sad to know that this will maybe the last series among 7 books.I believe that jk rowling must continue to tell stories about harry potter, because many of the readers or viewers are not only kids but adults as well but if it will really end i believe that the legend will still live among the fans...

I am sad it is ending. Assuming Harry survives, I want to see him grow up and see what happens to his children. Of course, on the other hand, do we want Harry Potter 45 -- Harry Potter and the Proctological Examination. For those asking about the release date, J.K. Rowling is still writing the book so there is no anticipated release date. She has no idea when she will be finished, so there is no way to guess when it will be out.

ahahahahahaha! Simple one word answer! NO! :) I don't mean to skit anyone that likes Harry Potter as I know it's popular book/movie series, however it is not for me and I feel there has been too many already and there just the same thing over and over again so I can't see what all the fuss is about and thus, that is why my answer is NO :)
