High altitude baking with bread machine

I live at 4500ft. I'm supposed to add flour, etc but my bread still comes out lumpy and very heavy. what should I do?

I live at 6000 I add the amount of flour the recipe calls for high altitude..but I also lower my oven temperature to 50 below what it calls for...

knead the dough constantly, are you adding the right amount of yeast ?
