Cloning and abortion for the benefit of the wealthy

The movie the island really opened up my eyes to why cloning, abortion and stem cell research is all about. People want to live longer. The problem is at what cost? To create a life to benefit someone else is slavery and murder. Did you know that some vaccines are made from aborted babies? Some medicines are a result of studies from aborted babies? Abortion clinics do not make money performing abortions, they make money selling different left over parts of baby bodies. Did you know that it is legal to abort a baby all the way up to the point of delivery? In the United States a baby can be taken out of the womb, with only the head in birth canal, and the doctor cuts the brain stem.

That is a scary thought but it is something I knew but just do not think of. It is hard to believe that in a world of cutting edge science that kid are dying in this country and in other because of inadquate medical care but yet billions are spent on research that will take years before it helps anyone. Then it will only be avalible to those who have more money and insurance that the common man. The movie was mind blowing and the fact is that it will most likely be insight to the not so distance future. I personaly think it is immoral and wrong.

There is one thing about music, movies, and writing, they are all indicitive of the times in which the authors and composers lived. Everything that surrounds us is commented on through the arts. It is a way people can let the truth out without overinundating people. It's like Agent J said in Men in Black "People are panicky". It's true. If people knew about everything that went on everywhere, there circuits would completely overload.

I watched the island also. BUT i dont agree with abortion at all. it is murder if the women is 1 day pregnant or about to deliver. there are alot of women out there that cant have children and there are these irresponible women getting oregant and getting abortions. i think if GOD wanted 2 of everyone we would all have twins.

Responsible women get pregnant too, and they're not to blame for other couple's infertility.

i totally agree with you.i think that what todays doctors are doing is making a mockery of one of life's miracles and that is the creation of a baby.not that i am agaist abortion or am i for it.i think that under the right circumstances maybe abortion would be allright like if you were raped or something like that.but today doctors are taking it too far by makeing designer babies.thats a bit too much!!! http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2001/0203.brownlee.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/babies_prog_summary.shtml http://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/pooled/articles/BF_NEWSART/view.asp?Q=BF_NEWSART_77010

I saw that movie the the island to and it kind of opened my eyes as well. As for the other facts you stated in your post I absolutley had no idea what was happening at abortion clinics.

I did not know about them either until I got involved with the pro-life community. I had no idea that late term abortions were still permitted. Fortunately we have groups like the ACLJ that fight for justice for these babies. Not to be confused with the ACLU, the ACLJ actually fights to expand freedoms, not limit them.

Your information is grossly inaccurate. "Partial birth" abortions were banned a couple years ago. They were a very rare procedure most often done when the fetus was shown to have severe defects that made it incompatible with life. Most states allow terminations up to about 15 weeks, long before the pregnancy is viable. I believe only Kansas allows them up to 20 weeks, which at one time was also before the point of viability. Medicine has advanced to the point where preemies born at 20wks do have some chance at surviving, and at some point I am sure Kansas's law will reflect that. More than 90% of all terminations are preformed in the first trimester (under 12 weeks).
