Mr. Rajeev Gandhi was my cup of tea. Why? In my opinion, when he entered into politics, he was novice but articulate, not experienced but willing to learn the work. He has the only politician in Indian politics who had tried his best to improve the nation by his giving some new thoughts, new innovation. He knows that in India, there is corruption to whom he has to eradicate from the root, but he knows how much it is difficult to get rid of them. He knows that if he distributes Rs. 100/- to the poorer, the poorer gets only Rs. 20 paisa and the balance Rs. 80 paisa goes to burecrates. Although He entangles in some scam such as Bofors, but as everybody knows that by his nature, he is honest, intelligent and hard working. And at last, he comes over his obstacle. He is criticised by the opposite lot of time due to his bold steps towardes his work, but he has the capacity to solve this problem. When he was in pick time that is the Nation needs his service, he was massacred by some millitant at Sri Lanka and we have lost the true, honest and intelligent leader, human being and last but not the least, innovative politician. It is said forever that if he would have been alive, the sceanario definately would be different that is prevalent present day. At last, in one word, we can say he is immortal and his princple, thoughts, honesty will remain recall among us and the Nation will follow the motto what he had given at the time of death "If you improve the corruption, poverty, education, honesty, the Nation will grow by leaps and bounds. politician

Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was my favourite National leader a Prime Minister of New Age India. Rajiv Gandhi won his first parliamentary elections to the Lok Sabha in early 80's. Then, Indira Gandhi was re-elected as the Prime Minister and Rajiv Gandhi became her unofficial political advisor. But in 1984, after Indira Gandhi's assassination, Rajiv Gandhi took over as the head of the Congress party and was sworn in as the Prime Minister. His encouraged foreign investment, and industry boomed. He sought to increase investments in technology. He removed many restrictions and encouraged foreign investment. In 1987, he sent the IPKF to Sri Lanka to help the government there eradicate terrorists. Though one of the campaign promises of the Congress party was to eliminate corruption in politics, Rajiv Gandhi's tenure as Prime Minister was marred by allegations of corruption. He was charged of kick-backs from Bofors.
