How much scope does biotech have?

does bio tech have any scope in india, my dad is so obsessed with it, please tell me how much u will get payed and wat are the choices in biotech and the various field, i dont want to spend my time in stupid research, wat are the other things u can do? i am now in 11nth grade. i have one more year but i want my future to be clear. my cousin who did bio tech 7 yrs ago is working in a call centre so i am really scared. pleas ehelp me out
