No, I don't have a green card, although I can't say I didn't try for one a few years ago.
It seems that the U.S. has taken on their quota of Brits in recent years, and it was a very difficult task to obtain a green card, so I gave up on it. :-(

A green card gives you the right to live, and work in the U.S.A. It doesn't however give you American citizenship... that has to be applied for at a later date, if you wish to stay in the country.
If you don't have a green card, and are British, you may visit the States for up to 3 months at any one time, but you may not work.
I hope that gives you some further insight.

I don't have a green card. What green card are you talking about? U.S. one? I don't need it and I think this a stupid question to ask...
