Saddam murdered many but why m i uneasy seeing an old man going to his death

exactly ...although i know that saddam was a bad man ..somewhere in the corner of my heart i really feel sorry for him.i dont know y .

I, too, have seen a news report indicating Saddam refused to wear the hood. I do not believe it. First, Saddam was not in a position to refuse anything. Second, Iraqi officals announced earlier they would video tape the execution to prove to the Iraqi people that Saddam was actually executed. If he wore a hood, how could a video tape prove Saddam had been killed? I think it is likely Saddam was not allowed to wear a hood and that it was said he refused it so his supporters could not complain about Saddam not having the hood. Convoluted, I know, but it is what makes sense to me.

I think he had fear and wasnt afraid to show it to the world.
