How's this for a New Year's Eve Story

My boyfriend and I were about to make love in front of a nice fire in our living room and at five minutes to midnight he tells me that we shouldn't see each other anymore and that I should move out of our house. Two days later he calls my best friend to tell him I was procrastinating about moving out. The next day I left for L.A. and was gone for five months. Then we decided to work things out and we are back together although I am a bit trepedatious about New Year's eve with him this year.

I dont blame you. But does he really deserve a second chance? If you are willing to give him that second chance, you keep should keep your OWN place on the side, just in case he wants to kick you out again.
So how was L.A.? Did you enjoy living there?

I went down there and worked in the strip clubs in the Valley. It was okay until my fifth month when I discovered a 14 mm kidney stone which stopped my pole dancing cold for a minute. So I decided that it would be a smarter thing to go ahead and come on home for a minute. Now we are engaged and he says that he is happy. I am happy so..... We'll see what happens. I can't afford to keep a place on the side right now. He won't allow me to dance anymore and i recently got fired from my job at a reprographics company.

Wow, that would be enough to make me a little leary of another New Year's celebration with him, too.
I don't think after doing without you for five months he'd be apt to do that again, or at least I hope not.
Good luck & have fun celebrating a New Year with your man.

I shall totally enjoy it and I have inquired into his plans for this New Years celebration and there appears to be no breakups on our horizon.

Why work things out with someone you have reservations about? You're young, smart, attractive=you can do better than someone who dumps you that way...

Actually I don't think I can. I don't think that I want to. I love him and he loves me. We are just from two very different ends of the spectrum I am a free spirit, he is uptight, I am black he is white, I am liberal (very liberal) he is a conservative Republican. Etcetera, etcetera, and so forth
