Man of the Year for 2006 - President George Bush

Seeing that Sadaam Hussein has met with justice, we are all reminded that this brutal dictator was brought down primarily through the efforts of one man - President George Bush. Tremendous! The people of Iraq are rejoicing in their new freedom, and so should the rest of the world. Many more terrorists should be led down the same path. So be courageous, take a deep breath and say it: The man of the year is President Bush.

Thank you! Finally someone who can see that Bush is doing what he is doing to free and help the Iraqi people. I don't know about "man of the year", because I feel that he has mad some mistakes and poor judgements, but he is NOT the evil person that so many think he is. President Bush has good intentions towards making the world a safer, more humane place where every nation can co-exist in peace. The justice in the case of Saddam was definitely a victory towards that goal.

I agree it is refreshing to see something positive said about our President and some reality in what our role is in Iraq. May God Continue To Bless America And Give Her Leaders Wisdom And Strength. But, Time Magazine has chosen it's Person of the Year that person is you and us the INTERNET users of the world. Don't count on them give President Bush much credit for anything positive.

Sure do appreciate these comments. The U.S. has seen significant victory in Iraq and I think we all need to acknowledge it. Check out this list - Brought Sadaam to justice (for 30 years of brutal dictatorship and atrocities against his own people, as well as others) Helped Iraq write a constitution Helped Iraq through their first election Helped Iraq rebuild infrastructure so people could go on with living Convinced many of the Iraqi people that the U.S. is a good people. Having done all of that, we should celebrate. The only thing holding back the celebration (besides the media and the Democrats) is that the endpoint of our efforts in Iraq has not been clearly communicated. In addition, there are lots of unrealistic expectations of what our job is. Stability in the country cannot be the only focal point. Will we ever make Iraq a completely peaceful country. Not likely at all. The Iraqi people are working hard to take over and they have lot more blood than we have. It is for our benefit that we have been able to help them get starated.

We will see. Iran is already providing weapons and soldiers for the battle in Iraq. Time will tell. If we get a Democrat in office in 2008, these issues will go away and we will let our enemies do whatever they want - even to us.
