how many times do u confess and why?

whenever i do something bad which later i feel ashamed of i confess and take refuge with my sustainer and beg for forgiveness....surely i beleive he will forgive me for many small sins like lying which are really very common nowadays..
when and why do u confess?

That is not really fair on God.
You are using God as an excuse for sinning again.
Accept the fact that we all sin and are not perfect and try harder to be good.
The greatest thing for you is that you know that you are sinning. That is 99% of the way to forgiveness.
