Bringing back Ganguly and sidelining him. Is it fair for all?

I dont agree with bringing back Ganguly into the Challenger Trophy Indiam Team, and after that sidelining him for the first match. He should be given a go at it for at least one more series before sounding the death-knell if he doesnt perform. This shows that a political show is going on in the Pawar BCCI team. Its unfair to the fans, the unbiased enthusiasts, and everyone.

Arrogance and indiscipline have cost him his berth in the team.

That's right! And see what happened in the Challenger trophy! He's performed so badly that he has been thrown out even for the coming 'Irani Trophy'!

No never. As long as Greg is there, he won't be available for the champion trophy and for the Test series. Its upto the time can only decide the issue. Our politicians will never dare to take timely decisions for good. That's why INDIA lagging back in sports arena at world level so badly. May be you are quite right, but for Indians it is common to see these sports politics played by non-sports related persons.

Well I believe that the whole Ganguly thing has been handled very badly. First of all i think that 0he should not have been picked for the Zimbabwe tour. Then when he made a really slow and uninspiring 100 against them he was saying he is back in form and so on when actually he wasn't. If he struggles that much against a bowling attack which is not as strong as a club teams bowling attack in India, god knows what is going to happen when he faces bowling attack of international quality. After that I believe that he was picked for the Sri Lankan series because of political pressure and public outrage in Kolkata. There his performance was not too bad, but he should not have been picked in the team on the first place. I agree that the whole issue has been dealt with in a very bad way but i believe that he should have been left out of the team much earlier. I know he has done a lot of good to the Indian team but all good things must come to an end and you cant expect any one to be in the team for ever. So i believe that keeping out Ganguly from the team is the right thing to do and as for selecting him for the challenger series and all, he is still a 1st class cricketer and all first class cricketers who perform will be selected for the chalenger series but that doen't mean that they will be selected for the Indian team.

The BCCI selectors has always done politics with Sourav Ganguly. Even the in CAB president election he was indulged into dirty politics. He has always been indulged into dirty politics.

But why should not Dalmia (much as i respect him for the great monetary boost he has given to Indian Cricket, like 'Juan Samaranch' ex-Olympics boss!) have given him a big farewell 'Thamasha' in 2003? Why dont they give a gala get-together and announce a player's fall, gracefully( with a cheque of , say, 50 lakhs or so, which the bcci would gladly afford!)

Ganguly was a great guy, and a great captain of Indian cricket! What I dont like is that the BCCI has no grace in the way in which they send out people! I dont know why some of those @*$(#$(( are still in the board of BCCI!

Ganguly has become a victim of board politics. It seems the end is near.

True, but one should also remember that he and sachin were playing like schoolgirls in a long period between 2001 and 2004, with very occasional good scores.Yes, youre right, its real obituary for Ganguly!
