Soups on! I have to say I have made on heck of a pot of ham and bean soup!

My family loves home made soup. I love making it. What is your favorite recipe? Here's my soup recip
Take a package of navy beans. Soak for an hour, then boil for an hour and let sit for a day or two if need be. Rinse, add water, boil for 2 to 3 hours, or when beans are soft. Add ham, carrots, and ham bone. It is not necessary to soak beans for longer than 24 hrs. However, for me, I need to boil my beans, they never soften by just soaking. Then heat all ingredients, for a while, then simmer....viola! Message me if you have any questions!

I am going to make a pot of mixed bean soup this weekend. We just finished off our turkey soup made from the leftover turkey we had for Christmas. I have a ham that was leftover from 2 weeks ago and will use that in the bean soup. Now you have me hankering for it now! Love to serve johnnycake with it.

johnny cake, now there's a term I haven't heard in a while! I love corn bread! so does my hubby! It is soooooooo good soup! Yum!
