My front yard has been invade by either a mole or a gopher. Every morning, I see a new 2ft-long tunnel on my lawn. My lawn is all patchy now. How can I tell if it's a mole or gopher, and what's the most effective way to get rid of this problem?

We have that problem too. My hubby thought he saw the mole or whatever it was...I always thought it was the gopher but my hubby says mole so I really don't know. Wish I knew how to get rid of them because the front yard looks bad the back yard looks fine and no patches there just the fromt yard..they must like the front yard better.

I have the same problem. Also my dogs love to "hunt" them but cause lots of damage. I have heard of finding their tunnels and pouring HOT SAUCE in them however when it rains you have to reapply. I am not sure how well it works. I don't know of any humane ways to get rid of them. Also home depot, lowes and walmart sell mole poisoning. I hope that this has helped some.

We have a mole problem at our house too...my one dog likes hunting them but in order to do it she also digs up my lawn then her brother joins the fun and between the two dogs AND the moles there ends up being some damage she's pretty good at it though, the one day she had caught like four of them and had them lined up for me to see (she likes bringing me 'gifts' damn her LOL)but its not the most effective method to say the least..I know there are mole catchers/mole traps but I dont know how kind they are/humane or however you want to word it...and I thnk there is something you can spray your lawn with as well but I'm not absolutely positive about that one....
