Does anyone take Lexapro for depression?

The only side effects I had weren't bad, just an inconvenience. It was when I began the process of weaning off the meds that I started having explicit dreams and really didn't get a good night's rest. I also experienced dizziness.

Although this discussion is a few weeks old now, I still thought that I would make a comment. Most medications will have some side effects, particularly in the early stages of taking them. The reason is because it is something new and it takes a while for the body to adjust to the new medications. However, if the symptoms or side effects continue, then see your Doctor as you might be one of those people who just cannot take that particular medication. Depending on the Doctor of course, many will start the patient off on a half dose for so many days and then increase it to a full dose. The half dose doesn't seem to have the same side effects as a full one does of course and this allows the body to cope with it. Also the same happens in some instances when you come off medications for depression, anxiety or panic attacks (better known as nervous disorders which covers a whole range of medical problems). Again make sure that your Doctor knows what side effects you had, so if the time arises when he takes you off the medication or decides to change it, he is aware.
