I just started taking them last week and I was wondering if it has caused anyone any bad side effects.

The only side effects I had weren't bad, just an inconvenience. It was when I began the process of weaning off the meds that I started having explicit dreams and really didn't get a good night's rest. I also experienced dizziness.

Do you have MS, or just think you might? I've been having symptoms of MS for a few months now and they've not found a cause. One of the reasons I was put on Lexapro is that my anxiety over my other symptoms was causing panic attacks and shortness of breath. I wasn't sleeping at night and I was wired all the time. I feel much better now, but still don't know what's causing my neurological symptoms.

Although this discussion is a few weeks old now, I still thought that I would make a comment. Most medications will have some side effects, particularly in the early stages of taking them. The reason is because it is something new and it takes a while for the body to adjust to the new medications. However, if the symptoms or side effects continue, then see your Doctor as you might be one of those people who just cannot take that particular medication. Depending on the Doctor of course, many will start the patient off on a half dose for so many days and then increase it to a full dose. The half dose doesn't seem to have the same side effects as a full one does of course and this allows the body to cope with it. Also the same happens in some instances when you come off medications for depression, anxiety or panic attacks (better known as nervous disorders which covers a whole range of medical problems). Again make sure that your Doctor knows what side effects you had, so if the time arises when he takes you off the medication or decides to change it, he is aware. Good luck and hope that things have settled down with the medication and side effects. :)

Yeah I am fine with it now I thnik because I was on Effecor xr before switching to Lexapro it took me a while to get my body use to it but I am fine now with Lexapro. I think switching from one pill to another may have been what made this happen in plus I have ms so I worry a little about what I take since ms in a nerve disorder.

I was wondering if that is why I felt weird today. My body was stiff like when I woke up. It is only samples my doctor put me on but I think i will try something else.
