i have a mcafee v8.oi anti virus programme and i picked up a virus is there a way to solve it n how?

No Antivirus software is complete in itself so you should try capturing this virus by using some other antivirus like norton antivirus. Otherwise you can format your drive on which the virus is but save the relevant data first on the other drive.
