Househusbands and Working Wives - Is the reversal of roles inevitable nowadays?

Are men slowly abandoning their role as breadwinners to give women a chance to assert their capabilities as providers for their family? You might know a family whose father is a stay-at-home dad (i mean unemployed), who does the cooking, the laundry, and all sorts of household chores while his wife goes off to work, right? Why does this reversal of roles so common nowadays? And wouldn't it mean that the working wives are the ones who get the upper-hand in the relationship since they are earning money for the family? Aren't those men ashamed of themselves? (Except those who are handicapped) Shouldn't these men be the ones who are looking for ways to feed their families? And how do the women feel if their husbands decide to just stay at home and take care of the house and the kids?
